5 things i dig about jesus meme
*sigh* Bussey tagged me, so I guess I have to keep the meme going. Here are the rules:
1. Those Tagged will share 5 things they dig about Jesus.
2. Those tagged will tag 5 other bloggers.
3. Those tagged will provide a link in the comments section here of their meme so that others can read them.
Five things I dig about Jesus:
- Jesus created my wife. Kim is the most amazing, beautiful, intelligent, faithful and patient person I have ever known. I am floored that Jesus entrusted her to me as my wife.
- Jesus drank wine. It seems many evangelicals forget that God's creation is good. When experienced within Scriptural perimeters, wine "gladdens the hearts of men."
- Jesus has a huge sword in his mouth. Jesus is an awe-inspiring, holy God--one day every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is King.
- Sex was Jesus' idea. Like #2, too often sex is given a bad rap in Christian circles. Uhm... what do we do with the Song of Solomon?! In a time and culture when there is rampant sexual confusion, Christians need to recover Jesus' creation of the marriage bed.
- Jesus speaks thousands of languages. Jesus wasn't born in America, or even in the West for that matter. One day, people of every tribe, tongue and ethnicity will sing his praise!
